you know, just because I am taking a break from cons doesn't mean I'm about to neglect this blog! Far form it, in fact, now I'm spending LESS time prepping for those, i can spend a little more time keep you all up to date on what's new and improved over here on the production side of things!
So first up, today I debuted a BRAND NEW short story on Patreon! It's the TransCat Super Spoopy Inktober Special Part 2! No need to have read Part 1 to understand this one, however. It's just the second year in a row I've done a Halloween special. HOWEVER! That is not to say you SHOULDN'T read the first one! In fact, if you are not already a member of my illustrious Patreon, all you gotta do to hop on now is toss a dollar in the hole. It will open up nearly my entire back catalog of Patreon exclusives to you! All you gotta do from there is rewind one year to find the first Super Spoopy Halloween Spectacular and you're solid. Like a lot of Transcat, this year's Spooptacular is based on true events, and by "based on", I mean like, Titanic "based on". I don't wanna give too much away, cuz naturally I want you to see it for yourselves. I even wrote a little blog about it you can check out. But please, allow me to tantalize you with THIS! So it is based off a true story, the story of when me and my friend David were little kids, we would run around the hallways of my apartment complex, playing hide-and-seek, and scaring the fuck outta one another telling urban legends or making shit up that basically made us jump at every shadow and running down every hall, screaming. My neighbors must have hated the fuck outta us!
So anyway, yeah, this story is based off that incident, naturally, i take it somewhere FAR spoopier than real life! That's what Transcat's all about, isn't it?
In other news, I dunno if you heard, but the new TransCat REMASTERED series, issued #1 through #6 are all up on Comixology now!

The Remastered series is what wound up being featured in the recently released TransCat Graphic Novel, it features some slightly altered/improved art, PLUS completely redone lettering! This is a version of Transcat i'm WAY more proud to show off than my hand lettered versions. Valiant as the effort might have been, my handwriting is just not neat ENOUGH to justify being on what I intend to be a commercial product. So from here on, these are the versions that will be available. If you have the old versions, maybe they're collector's items now? I'd like to think so. I also excised the TransCat mini-sode from the back. I think from here on out, I will relegate those to the first print editions of each book only, just to save me a little bit on printing costs. I know it must seem arbitrary, but it adds up, trust me. I think somewhere down the line I might do a collection of the mini-sodes much in the same way I did the graphic novel collection.
Just something to think about.
That's about all the BIG news! One more minor thing I'd like to announce, I am gonna try one more serious attempt at a mailing list! You should send me an EMAIL with a mailing address you'd like to receive some TransCat goodies at. It HAS to be a physical address, I cannot email this cool stuff to you. A PO Box will work!
Right now i'm working on a cool Birthday Card, for myself. My Birthday is next month, and it's my 4th Birthday since I have started TransCat. so i'm making a card FOR MYSELF to send to ALL OF YOU to thank you for keeping me going with this project in these last four years. Don't delay, cuz the deadline to get this card is November 18th and the first 50 people on it will ALSO be getting a VERY SPECIAL TransCat Comic! One that you can't get anywhere else ;-) So don''t delay! Act Now!
