TransCat in: Free Comic Book Day Comes Early!

- Robert Heinlein, Probably

So last year around this time I did something kinda special and printed up my first ever contribution to Free Comic Book Day, and ran around to all the comic stores in the area and tried to convince them to carry it. Some shops were more receptive than others, but at the end of the day, there was a fine, fine selection of people form all around the Bay Area that carried me.
As much as I would love to repeat this process for this year's Free Comic Book Day, I simply came to the table a little less prepared than usual. I COULD rush order a limited pressing of books and go to fewer shops than I did last year, but my big, big trip to Vegas is this month and as they say, discretion is the better part of valor!

SO! I'm gonna give you guys a DIGITAL EDITION of this year's book, and maybe, hopefully, if I'm more on the ball next year, I can make this a real book.

There's is, however, a catch. You NEED to be  patron on Patreon. I know that kinda defeats the purpose of the comic being "Free", but I kinda want my Patreon to have stuff on it that's unique and interesting. There's incentive, though! If you aren't already a Patron, and you're wondering if it's worth the one dollar pledge just for this comic, it TOTALLY IS! Because not only will you be opening up access to this book, but EVERY one of the exclusive comics I've put on there to date! Some of 'em are just works in progress of officially released TransCat books, which, are cool if you're into that kinda thing, but other stuff on there is truly exclusive, never before seen TransCat stories! Be the first on your block to slurp up this precious content!

What else is going on in the world of TransCat? Well, I just mentioned the Vegas trip. That in about a week and a half at the time of this writing, and lemme tell ya, I'm nervous as heck! This'll be the longest I've traveled with TransCat to date! I was really hoping to have a new book out by now, but some financial stuff got in the way and I'll more likely have it out by the time Sac-anime comes around instead. It's fine though, because I doubt anyone in Vegas has really heard of TransCat yet, so it'll ALL be new to them!

So yeah, expect TransCat #10 around summer. I'm a little sad that I haven't been keeping up with my 4 issues a year deadline very well, but you gotta do what you gotta do in this zany business!

Another thing to look out in the summer is the release of TransCat #8 to Comixology! The remastering process is taking awhile, and the Comixology submission process also takes some time, but it should all be finished by the time summer rolls around, and after that, I should have a more regular submission schedule for digital comics (because #8 was the last one that needed to be remastered, so thank God for that).

In the mean time, I also wanna call your attention to the Geeky Steven Facebook page, where I've been doing weekly submissions of BRAND NEW TransCat shorts. I usually upload every Monday but will sometimes do Tuesdays instead. There's a ton of quality comedy on there for you to sift through as well, so don't be shy!

Anyway, i need to get preppin' for Vegas, so stay tuned! I'm certain I'll have TONS of pictures and stories to share once i get back! Love y'all!
